Dear Parents,

Even though August is far away many parents have been asking about our  Kindergarten Connection class.  This class is for children who will be attending kindergarten this fall. Kindergarten Connection will be offered in 2 sessions this summer.  Children are invited to attend one or both. Week A is July 31 to August 3, Week B is August 7-10.   Our registration flyer is attached to this email.  Payment may be made by check, credit/debit card, or by VENMO @Amy-Folliard (630-728-0770) Registrations are fully refundable anytime if your summer plans or needs change. Kindergarten Connection will cover daily journal writing.  We will be introducing the mechanics of writing: capital letters, spacing between words, and punctuation.  We will explore sight words, work on rhyming, writing numbers 1-20 and simple addition.   

Our focus will also include the many social aspects of school.  We will play outside and do some fun group activities.  We will serve a small snack and children will bring their own lunch.  This will be great practice for kindergarten as students are expected to open all containers and manage their lunch on their own. Weather permitting we would enjoy lunch outside and other activities outside.  We will have shade canopies on our playground and be mindful that the children do not get too hot. Friends are welcome.  You do not need to be and SRC student to attend.
